Good morning pretties!
How are you doing? Did you like the mani Mare made? I hope so.
Today's mani is inspired by a book I read a long time ago and to be honest I'd have to read it again to remember all the details, but Jonathan Livingston Seagull made a lasting impression in the beginning of my teenage years.
To make this mani I starded off with two coats of Uptown Blue from the Pastel Punch collection by Maybelline. There are four pastel colours: green, yellow, pink and this awesome blue. I only bought the pink and the blue, but I'm seriously thinking about going back to the cosmetics store to get the other two... heheheheh
I always wear pastels over a matte base coat, but this time I forgot and it was actually good because I could figure if the pose was good or not. Guys, wonderful creme! Very easy to pose, it doesn't drag, it doesn't stain, and it gets to perfect opacity on the second coat.
Then I made a very light gradient on the base of the nail, using Chow Chow by Risqué and Uptown Blue. I still need to work a lot on my gradients, but I have to say I love how delicate this one turned out.
To finish the idea I used the reverse stamping technique. I used this tutorial here by Lucy's Stash and the bird from the plate MM14 by Messy Mansion. I stamped with Konad black polish and filled the birds with Alpine Snow by OPI.
Amei demais essa mani, e a técnica é genial. Já tenho várias idéias na cachola...
E vocês, gostaram?
I love this mani, and this technique is just awesome. I have many ideas in my head...
What about you? Do you like it?
Super beijo e até o próximo post.
Big kiss and see you on the next post.
