Prune Minimale - Yves Saint Laurent + Mariah Carey 18k White Gold &Silver Top Coat - O.P.I

Hoje tem esmaltação 'ryca' (como dizem as meninas do Troca) aqui no blog. Uma das minhas resoluções para esse ano é investir em marcas que ainda não tenho, e comprar somente esmaltes que desejo mesmo, nada de comprar só por comprar.
Today I have a 'rich' polish (as my friends from Brazil would say) here on the blog. One of my blogging resolutions for this year is to invest on brands I don't have yet, and only buying polishes I really really want, no impulsive buying anymore.

 O Prune Minimale da Yves Saint Laurent é um roxo ameixa quase marrom. A consistência é excelente; não é nem grosso nem ralo, fácil de esmaltar e não escorre para as cutículas. Mas tem que tomar cuidado na hora de esmaltar, pois ele mancha um pouquinho, o que o torna chatinho de limpar. Por outro lado, ele não mancha a unha na hora de tirar não!

Prune Minimale by Yves Saint Laurent is a plum brown-ish purple. The formula is great; it's not thick nor watery, easy to pose and it doesn't run to the cuticles. But you have to be careful when posing it, because it stains a bit which makes it annoying to clean. On the other hand, it doesn't stain the nail when removing it!

Testei tirar as fotos com fundo preto e com fundo azul. Por isso tem mais fotos do que costumo postar. Pesquisei em vários blogs e vi que a maioria usa fundo preto porque parece que é o que menos muda a cor do esmalte e a cor da pele. Dá para ver a diferença?
I tried to take the pictures both using black and blue background. That's why there are more pictures than usual. I look in many blogs and saw that most girls use a black background because it seems to have less influence on the colour of the polish and of the skin. Do you see the difference?

Mas segundo o maridão – sim, cito ele direto, e para vocês entenderem melhor o porquê: ele é engenheiro aeroespacial (trabalha com motores de avião e turbinas geradoras de energia), fotógrafo nas horas vagas (deixo aqui o flickr dele se vocês quiserem bizoiar) e meu MacGyver pessoal – fundo preto é o fundo a evitar na fotografia profissional porque distorce o balanço do branco. Segundo ele o melhor fundo é o cinza, mas como não sou fotógrafa profissional, e cinza é sem graça, optei pelo azul. 

But according to hubby - yes, I talk about him a lot, and so that you may understand better why I do so: he's an aerospacial engineer (works with aircraft engines and power generator turbines), he's photograph on his free time (here is his flickr if you want to check out his pics) and my personal MacGyver - black background is the less used in professional photography because it distorts the white balance. According to him the best background is gray, but since I'm not a professional photographer, and gray is boring, I picked blue.
