I wans't inspired for today's mani, so I picked an easy stamping. We can't go wrong with stamping, can we?

Como não tive tempo de tirar fotos sob a luz do dia, teve que ser sob luz artificial mesmo. Ele é um azul esverdeado com efeito glass fleck. Sob luz do dia ele fica verde, mas sob luz artificial ele fica azul porque os pigmentos são azuis. :)

Since I didn't have time to take pictures under natural daylight, I had to take them under artificial light. It's a blue green-ish glass fleck. Under daylight it looks green, but under artificial light it looks blue because the pigments are blue. :)

BP-03 Stamping Plate Review by Born Pretty

Hoje é segunda azul e o moral está mesmo com cara de segunda. Para quem não sabe, segunda azul é a terceira segunda-feira de janeiro: as férias já acabaram há muito, as próximas férias ainda estão longe, está todo mundo sem dinheiro por causa das festas e férias... Enfim, azul né?! (Em inglês usa-se a palavra 'blue' também como sinônimo de um sentimento de desânimo ou tristeza)

Today is blue Monday and it really feels like it. For those who don't know, blue Monday is the third Monday of January: vacation are long gone, the next vacation is way ahead, everybody ran out of money... Well, blue right?!

Estou há algum tempo para fazer essa resenha para vocês, mas com a correria de fim de ano acabei não conseguindo.

It's been a while I have this review on my to-do list, but with the end of year craziness I wasn't able to do it.

Recebi 7 plaquinhas do primeiro set de plaquinhas da Born Pretty Store e queria fazer três manis para a resenha, mas só consegui fazer duas, por isso vou mostrá-las em posts separados. A Tina (relações públicas da BPS) me disse que algumas pessoas reclamaram que as estampas do primeiro set estavam muito pequenas, por isso eles consertaram o problema e lançaram os tamanhos adaptados na segunda leva do set.
Se alguma de vocês comprou esse set e não está satisfeita com o tamanho das imagens, é só mencionar na caixa de comentários quando vocês fizerem a próxima comprinha, que eles enviarão a mesma plaquinha com o design maior.

I got 7 plates from Born Pretty's first stamping plates set and wanted to make three different manis for the review, but I only had time to make two, so I'll show them in separate posts. Tina (BPS' PR) told me some people said the patterns for the first batch were too small for their nails, so they fixed some patterns and sizes and relaunched them on the following batch.
If any of you bought the set from the first batch and is not happy with the patterns, you can get the same pattern from the fixed batch for free. You just have to let them know in the comments box when you place a new order.

Para essa mani usei o 389 Mint Milk (Kiko) e carimbei essa estampa fofíssima da plaquinha BP-03 usando o White da Mundo de Uñas. Foi super fácil de transferir o desenho e como as minhas unhas estavam mais curtinhas, o desenho coube direitinho.
For this mani I used 389 Mint Milk (Kiko) and stamped with this cute pattern from the image plate BP-03 using White by Mundo de Uñas. It was very easy to transfer the desing and since my nails were a little shorter, they fit perfectly.

Green Mix 'n Match

Já começaram a contagem regressiva para o Natal? Eu já! Depois de 7 anos, finalmente vou passar as festas com a minha família. :-D

Have you started the countdown for Christmas yet? I have. After 7 years, I'll finally spend the holidays with my family. :-D

Para comemorar essa alegria toda, hoje trago a vocês uma mix 'n match que fiz especialmente para o postão Esmaltadas de Leitoras do mês passado, lá pro blog da Alice.

To celebrate all this happiness, today I bring you a mix 'n match I did for last month's big Esmaltadas de Leitoras post, for Alice's blog.

Começo mostrando a vocês esse verdinho muito amor que comprei em Portugal em outubro. É o 389 Mint Milk. Apesar de ser tom pastel, ele é super fácil de esmaltar e já cobre bem na primeira camada.

I start by showing you this cute green I bought in Portugal in October.

It's 389 Mint Milk. It's very easy to apply, even though it's a pastel polish. It covers well already on the first coat.

No indicador passei duas camadas do Acquamarina Strass (Collistar) - achei que ele fosse glitter, mas é sand - que mostrarei sozinho para vocês depois. No polegar e no anelar uma camada do branco para carimbo da Blant e studs verdinhos.

On the index I applied two coats of Acquamarina Strass (Collistar) - I thought it was glitter, but it's actually textured - which I'll show you by itself later on. On the thumb and ring finger only one coat of white stamping polish and green studs.

No médio e mindinho carimbei com uma plaquinha da Born Pretty que também mostrarei depois. Essas foram as minhas primeiras fotos usando o mini estudio (exceto a foto do Kiko peladinho). Sei que ainda tenho muito para melhorar, mas o que vocês acham?
On the middle finger and pinky I stamped with an image plate by Born Pretty which I'll also show you later. These were also my first pictures using the light box (except the picture of the Kiko "naked"). I know there's always room for improvement, but what do you guys think?

[Lacquer Legion Challenge] #LLYummy

O tema desse mês para o desafio do The Lacquer Legion é Yummy (gíria para saboroso, gostoso, em inglês) e escolhi uma das poucas guloseimas que como hoje em dia: chocolate - de preferência amargo, com mais chocolate mesmo e pouco ou nenhum açúcar!

This month's prompt for The Lacquer Legion challenge is Yummy and I picked one of the few treats I eat nowadays: chocolate - preferably with very little or no sugar at all!

Para minha barrinha de chocolate escolhi o 815 Taupe da Kiko, que para mim é mais marrom do que taupe. Ele tem o pincel achatado e é uma delícia de esmaltar. Seca super rápido também.

For my little chocolate bar I picked 815 Taupe by Kiko, that for me is more brown than taupe. It has a wide flat brush and it's very smooth to apply. It also dries very quickly.

Para a marcação dos quadradinhos usei um pedacinho de papel cartão e fui pressionando delicadamente enquanto a segunda camada do esmalte ainda não estava dura. Depois passei uma terceira camada de esmalte por cima da marcação e marquei de novo, para dar esse efeito mais "gordinho".

To mark the little squares I used a piece of hard paper and pressed carefully while the second coat wasn't hardened yet. Next, I applied a third coat of polish and marked again, to give this "fat" effect.

Para finalizar, passei uma camada do top coat matte da OPI e marquei uma última vez pois o top coat cobriu um pouco a marcação. Apesar de parecer trabalhoso, foi super fácil de fazer.

To finish off, I applied one the matte top coat by OPI and marked for the last time because the top coat covered the squares a bit. It's very easy to do, although it sounds like a lot of work.

Dá vontade de comer as unhas não dá não? Se chocolate não engordasse eu comeria mais do que só dois quadradinhos a cada dois ou três dias... Hahahahahaha

Makes we want to eat the nails, doesn't it? If only chocolate didn't make us gain weight I'd definitely eat more than just two little squares every couple of days... Hahahahahaha

Acho essa combinação tão linda, tão romântica. O rosa é o Best Pop da Essence, da nova coleção limitada Rock Out!! Ele é um glass fleck lindo de morrer e super fácil de esmaltar.
I think this combo is so pretty, so romantic. The pink polish is Best Pop by Essence, from the new Rock Out!! limited edition. It's a super pretty glass fleck and it's very smooth to apply.
 

O marrom é 815 Taupe da Kiko que eu comprei nas minhas férias em Portugal. Ele é bem consistente e bem pigmentado. Super fácil de esmaltar e ainda tem o detalhe do pincel achatado que os quadradinhos da outra linha não têm.
The brown is 815 Taupe by Kiko that I bought during my vacation in Portugal. It's very creamy and pigmented. Easy to apply and has this awesome flat brush the other squared-bottle ones don't have.
 

Por cima do rosa carimbei usando a plaquinha Pro Collection XL 14 e o esmalte para carimbo 23 Chocolate da Mundo de Uñas. No marrom apenas fiz duas bolinhas com o Best Pop mesmo.
I stamped using the image plate Pro Collection XL 14 and 23 Chocolate stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas over the pink. Over the brown I just made two dots with Best Pop itself.

Mais uma mani do Outubro Rosa que eu amei.

Para a mani de hoje tive menos sucesso do que para a mani de ontem. Acho tão ruim quando um dia faço uma mani linda e a do dia seguinte não corresponde às minhas expectativas... rsrsrsr
Mas sabemos que vida de nailista é isso mesmo né? Nem sempre funfa... kkkk
For today's mani I was less succesful. I find so annoying when I make a pretty mani one day and the day after it doesn't meet my expectations... 
But we know a nailista's life is like that right? When can't always get it right... LOL

Me inspirei nesse vestido aqui do Valentino. Decididamente, descobri que gosto das criações dele sem nem notar que são dele. Essa é a segunda vez que escolho um Valentino como inspiração fashion.
I got inspired by this dress by Valentino. Definitely, I found out I like his creations without even know they're his. This is the second time I pick a Valentino as a fashion inspiration.

A mani é bem elaborada, mas super fácil de fazer. Ia usar as fitinhas para delimitar as áreas de cores, mas acabei perdendo a paciência e fazendo tudo à mão livre mesmo.
The mani is quite elaborate, but very easy to make. I was going to use stripping tape to delimit the areas of the colours, but I lost my patience and ended by freehanding it all.

Os esmaltes escolhidos foram o The Pinky and The Brain da Catrice, o Black Is Black da Essence, o 238 Martha Red da Kiko e o Francesinha da Ellen Gold que eu coloquei em um vidrinho vazio da Essence por causa do pincel perfeito! Paula, você é uma "gênia"!
The polishes used were The Pinky and The Brain by Catrice, Black Is Black by Essence, 238 Martha Red by Kiko and Francesinha by Ellen Gold that I poured into a an empty Essence bottle because of tis perfect brush! Paula, you're a genious!

Só acho que deveria ter escolhido um rosa mais claro porque ele ficou muito próximo do vermelho. Mas só fui ver quando passei as fotos para o computador e não deu tempo de trocar porque já estava tarde.
I just think I should have chosen I brighter pink because it ended up being to close to the red. But I only saw that when I uploaded the pictures to the computer and I didn't have time to change because it was already late.

Uma pena, pois gostei bastante da idéia. E vocês, qual o estilista preferido de vocês?
It's a shame because I really like the idea. What about you? What's your favourite couturier?
