[Pink October] #6: Mix & Match

Good morning pretties!

Aqui estou com a última (finalmente) mani do Outubro Rosa. Adoro a cor rosa e esse mês consegui fazer 6 manis diferentes, mas confesso que deu pra bolinha né? 
Here I am with the last (finally) mani of Pink for October. I love pink and this month i was able to make 6 different manis, but I have to admit I'm kind of sick of it now! 

Aproveitei para desencalhar mais um 'esmaltchenho' fofo, o Candy da coleção Hello Kitty da Hits Specialittà. Foram duas camadas fáceis de aplicar. Achei a secagem bem boa e tem um brilho natural muito bonito.
I took another cute untried polish out of the box, Candy from the Hello Kitty collection by Hits Specialittà. Here I applied two easy coats. I think drying time is quite ok and it has a pretty natural shine.

Depois retirei-o do indicador e do médio para fazer a M&M. No indicador passei apenas uma camada do esmalte branco para carimbo da Blant - porque estava com preguiça, não queria gastar o restinho do meu Francesinha e como comprei um branco para carimbo novo, resolvi usá-lo como base para artes - e fiz poás com o Candy usando o boleador grande.
Then I took it off of the index and middle finger to make the mix 'n match. On the index I applied only one coat of a white stamping polish by Blant - because I was lazy, didn't want to spend the rest of my Francesinha and since I bought a new white stamping polish, I decided to use this one as base for arts - and made the polka dots using Candy and a big dotting tool.

No médio foram duas camadas do glitter forte Hard Rock também da Hits e desenhei o laço com o Candy. No anelar carimbei essa estampa super delicada da plaquinha Pro Collection XL 14 da MoYou London usando meu novo esmalte branco para carimbo da Mundo de Uñas.
On the middle finger I applied two coats of a rough glitter called Hard Rock also by Hits and freehanded the ribbon using Candy. On the ring finger I stamped this cute delicate pattern from Pro Collection XL 14 by MoYou London using my new white stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas.

Adorei essa mani. Acho que fechei a campanha super bem, vocês não acham?

[Lacquer Legion Challenge] #LLAfterDark

A mani de hoje para o desafio do The Lacquer Legion é no tema do Halloween, e sinceramente, foi uma das piores que já fiz. Estava totalmente sem inspiração.

Today's mani for The Lacquer Legion challenge has to do with Halloween, and honestly, it's one of the worst I've ever made. I was totally out of inspiration.

No polegar e no anelar foram duas camadas do Atomic Orange (OPI), no médio e no mindinho duas do Grape Pop (China Glaze) e no indicador duas do Black Is Black (Essence). 

On the thumb and ring finger I applied two coats of Atomic Orange (OPI), on the middle and pinky two of Grape Pop (China Glaze) an on the index two of Black Is Black (Essence).

Os morcegos e os corvos são da plaquinha Gothic Collection 07 e a lápide, a teia de aranha e os símbolos místicos são da Gothic Collection 01 da MoYou London. O esmalte preto para carimbo é o 2 Black da Mundo de Uñas e o prata é o da La Femme.  

The bats and crows are from the image plate Gothic Collection 07 and the tombstone, spider web and mystic symbols are from Gothic Collection 01 by MoYou London. The black stamping polish is 2 Black by Mundo de Uñas and the silver is from a Brazilian brand called La Femme.

Sinceramente, não gostei. Acho que poderia ter feito melhor, mas estava sem inspiração e sem tempo para fazer outra. 

O que vocês acharam? Dá pra salvar ou ficou uma m... mesmo?

Honestly, I don't like it. I think I could've done better, but I completely lacked inspiration and time to make another one. What do you think? Is it acceptable or is it total shit?

V.I.P.A. with Jacki from Adventures in Acetone

Hoje eu trago a vocês uma grande inspiração, a esmaltólatra que foi o "empurrãozinho" que eu precisava para criar o meu blog, há 2 anos e quase 4 meses. Foi quando comentei em um tutorial de water marble que ela fez. Ela foi super simpática e me incentivou dizendo que com prática e persistência eu seria capaz sim. E assim decidi criar o meu blog. Com vocês, a Jacki do Adventures in Acetone:
Today I have a big inspiration to introduce you, the NPA who "pushed" me to create my own blog about 2 years and 4 months ago. It was when I commented on a water marble tutorial she had done. She was so sympathetic and encouraged saying that with practice and persistence I'd be able to do it as well. So, I decided to create my blog. I leave you with Jacki from Adventures in Acetone:

Hello, GioNails readers! I’m Jacki, and you may know me from Adventures In Acetone. Thank you so much for having me, Giovanna! I am so honored to be invited onto your blog as a V.I.P.A! For my manicure, I’ve done one of my favorite new-to-me techniques: spray marbling! If you aren’t familiar with the term, I’ll explain it a bit! You put a few drops of nail polish in your water cup as you would for water marbling, but then you spray it with rubbing alcohol (or spray hand sanitizer, hair spray, body spray, etc.). The polish gets weird spots in it from the spray, and then you dip your finger as you would for water marbling. I love doing a couple of different colored layers to create an interesting effect. You can mix different finishes like metallics and cremes, shimmers, etc!
 

For this spray marble nail art look, I started out with 2 coats of OPI Mod About You. Once that was dry, I dropped about 4 drops of OPI Push & Pur-Pull onto the water surface in my cup. While it was still wet, I quickly sprayed rubbing alcohol once or twice into the cup to reveal the spots. Because it creates such a random pattern, I was able to dip 2 nails at once. After I finished all of my nails with the purple layer, I repeated the steps using OPI My Dogsled Is A Hybrid. I used HKGirl Top Coat, followed by OPI Matte Top Coat to give it a matte finish. (I do the quick dry top coat first because matte top coats always seem to smear nail art for me!)
 

What do you think of this spray marble look? Are you a fan of this technique? I really love how quick and easy it is to create as a full mani— as I am often too busy to do intricate nail art these days! If you use tape, peel off glue, or vaseline on the skin around your nails it will cut down on the clean up time as well! Thank you so much for reading! And a big thank you to Giovanna for having me!

Today I have another Pink for October mani to show you and with a colour combo that's been on my to-try list for some time: pink and brown. 

Acho essa combinação tão linda, tão romântica. O rosa é o Best Pop da Essence, da nova coleção limitada Rock Out!! Ele é um glass fleck lindo de morrer e super fácil de esmaltar.
I think this combo is so pretty, so romantic. The pink polish is Best Pop by Essence, from the new Rock Out!! limited edition. It's a super pretty glass fleck and it's very smooth to apply.
 

O marrom é 815 Taupe da Kiko que eu comprei nas minhas férias em Portugal. Ele é bem consistente e bem pigmentado. Super fácil de esmaltar e ainda tem o detalhe do pincel achatado que os quadradinhos da outra linha não têm.
The brown is 815 Taupe by Kiko that I bought during my vacation in Portugal. It's very creamy and pigmented. Easy to apply and has this awesome flat brush the other squared-bottle ones don't have.
 

Por cima do rosa carimbei usando a plaquinha Pro Collection XL 14 e o esmalte para carimbo 23 Chocolate da Mundo de Uñas. No marrom apenas fiz duas bolinhas com o Best Pop mesmo.
I stamped using the image plate Pro Collection XL 14 and 23 Chocolate stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas over the pink. Over the brown I just made two dots with Best Pop itself.

Día de los Muertos Sugar Skulls

Consegui fazer a minha terceira mani temática de Halloween e aqui está mais uma que eu adorei.
I got to make my third Halloween themed mani and here's another one I love.
 

Há muito que queria fazer essas caveirinhas de açúcar. A Calavera é uma representação do crânio humano feita seja em açúcar ou em argila, a qual é usada no México na celebração do Dia dos Mortos.
It's been a long time I want to make those sugar skulls. Calavera is a representation of human skull made from either sugar or clay, which is used in the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead.
 

No polegar, indicador e mindinho passei três camadas do Best Hip Hop da Essence coleção Rock Out!!, uma coleção limitada que acabou de ser lançada aqui. Consegui comprar a coleção toda, por isso depois farei um post com swatches para vocês.
On the thumb, index and pinky I applied three coats of Best Hip Hop by Essence from a Rock Out!! limited edition collection that was just released here. I got the whole collection, so I'll make a swatches post later on.
 

No médio e no anelar foram duas camadas do Francesinha da Ellen Gold (que coloquei em um vidrinho vazio da Essence por causa do pincel maravilhoso) e desenhei as caveiras comprinha acrílica preta usando esse tutorial aqui. Os detalhes foram feitos com esmaltes e um boleador pequeno e usei florzinhas em fimo para fazer os olhos.
On the middle and ring finger I applied two coats of Francesinha by Ellen Gold (which I poured in an empty bottle by Essence because of the wonderful brush) and drew the skulls with black acrylic paint using this tutorial here. The details were made with regular polishes and a small dotting tool and I used fimo flowers to make the eyes.
 

Amei demais essa mani. Estou muito satisfeita com o resultado. Quem aí também gosta de caveirinhas?

Dahlia - Zoya

Good morning divas!

Hoje tem mais um sand divo que ficou encalhado nos rascunhos por mais de 3 meses. Que vergonhaaaaaaa! Mas nunca é tarde para deixá-lo dar o ar da graça, né?
Today I have another gorgeous textured polish that was "forgotten" in the draft list for more than 3 months. Shame on meeeeeeeee! But it's never too late to let it shine, right?

Esse perfeito é o Dahlia da Zoya. Na primeira camada eu achei que ele não fosse cobrir direito e confesso que achei o efeito muito estranho. Daí passei a segunda e tudo fez sentido!
This perfect polish is Dahlia by Zoya. On the first coat I thought it wouldn't get fully opaque and have to say I found the effect quite weird. Then I applied the second and everything made sense!

Quando ele foi lançado eu nem dei muita bola não. Queria mesmo eram os coloridos, extravagantes, bem cheguei... do jeito que eu gosto. Hahahahahah
I didn't care much for it when it was released. The ones I really wanted were the colourful, extravagant, bright ones... just the way I like it. LMAO

Mas aí o amor pelos esmaltes texturizados foi crescendo e eu descobri que precisava - sim, precisava - de um preto na minha coleção. E assim, ele teve a sua chance de me cortejar. :-D
But then the love for textured polish started growind and I found out I needed - yes, neede - a black one in my stash. So, he had his chance to woo me. :-D

[Pink October] #4: AIS Sunday Stamping & Nailstorming

O post de hoje inclui dois temas em um: o Nailstorming francês de todo domingo, o qual o tema de hoje é Outubro Rosa, e a primeira vez que participo do desafio de domingo de um dos grupos gringos lá do face, o Adventures In Stamping, que é específico para compartilhar apenas carimbadas.
Today's post features two themes: the French Nailstorming from every Sunday, today's prompt being Pink October, and the first time I join the Sunday challenge from the Facebook group Adventures In Stamping.
 

Como o tema de hoje do AIS é livre, resolvi aproveitar e fazer uma mani coringa.
Como cor de base usei o Passionate About You da Park Avenue. A marca é belga e é exclusiva para apenas uma rede de loja de cosméticos por aqui (Di Cosmetics).
Since today's AIS theme is free, I decided to merge them.
As base I picked Passionate About You by Park Avenue. It's a Belgian brand and it's exclusive for one cosmetics chain here (Di Cosmetics).
 

Eles lançaram recentemente uma coleção de esmaltes com efeito speckled (o famoso pulguentinho na linguagem brazuca) - terei que adicioná-lo ao postão dos acabamentos - e eu arrematei 4 para testar. Já sei que terei que pegar os outros da coleção pois amei demais. Por isso falarei deles à parte.
They recently released a collection of polishes with speckled finish - I'll have to add it to the polish finishes post - and I got 4 to try out. I already know I'll have to get all the others because I love it. But I'll talk about them some other time.
