Review BP-09 Stamping Plate by Born Pretty

Hi guys! How are you doing?

Hoje tem a segunda mani com as plaquinhas do primeiro set que recebi da Born Pretty.

Today I have the second mani using the plates of the first set Born Pretty sent me.

Como base usei o Sugar Pop Candy da coleção dos pulguentinhos da Park Avenue. Preciso fazer um post só para eles, mas como ainda não usei todos, vai ficando pra depois... Hahahahahha

As base I used Sugar Pop Candy from the speckled collection by Park Avenue. I have to make a post with the whole collection, but since I haven't used them all yet, it's going to be later on... Hahahahahahaha

Carimbei usando a plaquinha BP-09 e o esmalte preto para carimbo da Mundo de Uñas. Infelizmente acho que eles não têm mais essa plaquinha porque procurei no site e não achei o link. Deve ter sido um dos casos de imagens pequenas, porque até nas minhas unhas ficaram pequenas. Usei o truque da portuguesa Marta do blog Esmalterapia para aumentar a imagem. Aumentar a imagem? Como assim? Olhem aqui que vocês entenderão. ;-)

I stamped using the plate BP-09 and my black stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas. Unfortunately I think they don't have this plate anymore because I looked on the site an couldn't find the link. It might have been one of small image batches, because even on my nails they were small. I used a trick I learned from the Portuguese blogger Marta from Esmalterapia to make the image bigger. How? Have a look here and you'll understand. ;-)

Achei essa mani tão fofinha. E esses coraçõezinhos gente?! Muito lindinhos né?!

I think this mani is so cute. What about these little hearts?! So cute, aren't they?!

Vamos começar o ano com uma mani bem colorida?
Essa mani já estava na fila para ser mostrada aqui e é mais uma mani que eu amei de paixão e que fez o maior sucesso no trabalho. 
Let's start the year with a colourful mani?

Today's mani was already on the list to be shown here and is another one that was popular at work.

Apesar de trabalhar na recepção, não tenho nenhuma restrição em relação às unhas. Não tem coisa melhor né?

Even though I work at the reception, I don't have any restrictions regarding the nails. Nothing better than that, right?

Para essa marble usei os esmaltes Pink Punch, Damson e Kiwi, todos da Barry M. Eles são excelentes para fazer watermarble e as cores ficaram lindas juntas.

For this marble I used the polishes Pink Punch, Damson and Kiwi, all by Barry M. They're great to marble with and the colors look super pretty together.

Na verdade, eu queria ter feito uma marble estilo candy cane, com vermelho e branco para o Natal. Mas saiu uma porcaria... Aí me joguei nas cores para ficar feliz.

Actually, I wanted to make a candy cane like watermark for Christmas. But it was crap... So I went for popping colors to make me happy.

Swatches Rock Out!! Collection by Essence

Good morning sweeties!

Como prometido anteriormente, aqui vão os swatches da nova coleção Rock Out!! da Essence. Só não consegui tirar foto do que brilha no escuro porque não tenho luz negra (preciso providenciar uma urgente), mas já estou correndo atrás de uma para adicionar as fotos à esse post aqui depois. 
As I have promised before, here are the swatches of the new Rock Out!! collection by Essence. The only one I couldn't photograph is the glow in the dark top coat because I don't have a black light (I have to get one urgently), but I'm looking for one so I can add the pictures to this post afterwards.

Não é só o formato do vidrinho que é diferente não, o pincel também é. Ele não é largo e achatado como o pincel clássico da marca (uma pena), mas também é fácil de esmaltar. Todas as fotos foram tiradas em luz natural e sem top coat.
It's not only the shape of the bottle that is different, the brush too. It's not wide and flat like the regular one (what a shame), but it's also easy to use. All pictures were taken under natural daylight and without top coat.

Best Female: glass fleck em base jelly, com shimmer dourado e rosa. Fácil de aplicar, precisou de três camadas para cobrir completamente.
Jelly glass fleck, with golden and pink shimmer. Easy to apply, needs three coats to build opacity.

Best Hip-Hop: glitters finos coloridos em base jelly preta translúcida. Aplicação também é fácil. Cobre complemente em três camadas.
Tiny colourful glitter in a black sheer jelly base. Also easy to apply. Builds opacity in three coats.

Best Pop: glass fleck em base crelly. Fácil aplicação, o único que cobre perfeitamente em duas camadas, justamente por ser crelly e não jelly.
Crelly glass fleck. Easy application, the only one that covered perfectly in two coats, because it's a crelly and not a jelly.

Best Rock: glass fleck em base jelly. O mais translúcido de todos. Também de fácil aplicação e cobertura em três camadas. (só tem uma foto porque fui retardada o suficiente para excluir a outra sem querer... rsrsrsrsr)
Jelly glass fleck. The most sheer of them all. Also easy to apply and opaque in three coats. (there's only one picture of this one because I was dumb enough to accidentally delete the other picture... rsrsrsrsr)  

  Biggest Fan é um top coat com estrelinhas holográficas. Ele brilha no escuro mesmo, mas a Canon não entende isso e o iPhone também não. Por isso não consegui fotografar sem o auxílio de uma luz negra. Como disse no início do post, assim que eu conseguir uma, faço fotos dele e adiciono à esse post aqui. Enquanto isso, vocês podem vê-lo brilhando nessa foto aqui e nessa aqui em luz natural sobre um esmalte amarelo.
It's a top coat with holographic star shaped glitters. It really glows in the dark, but the Canon didn't understand that, neither did the iPhone. So I couldn't photograph it without the assistance of a black light. So, as I say in the beginning of this post, as soon as I get a black light, I'll take pictures of it and will add to this post. In the mean time, you can see it glowing here and under natural daylight over a yellow base here.

Today I have another Pink for October mani to show you and with a colour combo that's been on my to-try list for some time: pink and brown. 

Acho essa combinação tão linda, tão romântica. O rosa é o Best Pop da Essence, da nova coleção limitada Rock Out!! Ele é um glass fleck lindo de morrer e super fácil de esmaltar.
I think this combo is so pretty, so romantic. The pink polish is Best Pop by Essence, from the new Rock Out!! limited edition. It's a super pretty glass fleck and it's very smooth to apply.
 

O marrom é 815 Taupe da Kiko que eu comprei nas minhas férias em Portugal. Ele é bem consistente e bem pigmentado. Super fácil de esmaltar e ainda tem o detalhe do pincel achatado que os quadradinhos da outra linha não têm.
The brown is 815 Taupe by Kiko that I bought during my vacation in Portugal. It's very creamy and pigmented. Easy to apply and has this awesome flat brush the other squared-bottle ones don't have.
 

Por cima do rosa carimbei usando a plaquinha Pro Collection XL 14 e o esmalte para carimbo 23 Chocolate da Mundo de Uñas. No marrom apenas fiz duas bolinhas com o Best Pop mesmo.
I stamped using the image plate Pro Collection XL 14 and 23 Chocolate stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas over the pink. Over the brown I just made two dots with Best Pop itself.

[Pink October] #4: AIS Sunday Stamping & Nailstorming

O post de hoje inclui dois temas em um: o Nailstorming francês de todo domingo, o qual o tema de hoje é Outubro Rosa, e a primeira vez que participo do desafio de domingo de um dos grupos gringos lá do face, o Adventures In Stamping, que é específico para compartilhar apenas carimbadas.
Today's post features two themes: the French Nailstorming from every Sunday, today's prompt being Pink October, and the first time I join the Sunday challenge from the Facebook group Adventures In Stamping.
 

Como o tema de hoje do AIS é livre, resolvi aproveitar e fazer uma mani coringa.
Como cor de base usei o Passionate About You da Park Avenue. A marca é belga e é exclusiva para apenas uma rede de loja de cosméticos por aqui (Di Cosmetics).
Since today's AIS theme is free, I decided to merge them.
As base I picked Passionate About You by Park Avenue. It's a Belgian brand and it's exclusive for one cosmetics chain here (Di Cosmetics).
 

Eles lançaram recentemente uma coleção de esmaltes com efeito speckled (o famoso pulguentinho na linguagem brazuca) - terei que adicioná-lo ao postão dos acabamentos - e eu arrematei 4 para testar. Já sei que terei que pegar os outros da coleção pois amei demais. Por isso falarei deles à parte.
They recently released a collection of polishes with speckled finish - I'll have to add it to the polish finishes post - and I got 4 to try out. I already know I'll have to get all the others because I love it. But I'll talk about them some other time.

[Pink October] #3: Water Marble

Good morning pretties!

Tudo bem com vocês por aí? Por aqui tudo ótimo. De volta à rotina casa/trabalho/academia/casa e com mais unhas para vocês. Esse mês o ritmo das esmaltações vai ser mais lento, porque além de ter enfiado o pé na jaca mês passado, decidi aceitar o desafio do Insanity Workout e fazer 5x por semana durante 2 meses para ver se esse lance de esculpir o corpo em dois meses é possível mesmo... :-P
How are you doing? Everything is great here. Back to the home/work/gym/home routine and with more nails for you guys. This month's rhythm of doing my nails will be slower, because besides having played crazy last month, I decided to take the Insanity Workout challenge seriously and do it 5x a week during two months to see if this 'sculpting the body in two months' thing is really possible… :-P

This is totally off-topic, so let's get to the point right? Hehehehehehehe

Esse rosinha muito amor é o Brave da Missp, uma submarca da marca portuguesa Purple Professional. Foram duas camadas muito fáceis sobre base fosca. Consistência bem fluída e cremosa, pigmentação excelente. Não escorre, não arrasta e não mancha. A secagem é excelente e a limpeza é super fácil. Comprei 10 esmaltinhos da marca nas minhas férias em Portugal e falarei com calma sobre cada um deles.
This super cute pink is Brave my Missp, a daughter brand of the Portuguese brand Purple Professional. Here are two easy coats over a matte base coat. Very smooth creme formula with great pigmentation. It doesn't run, it doesn't drag and it doesn't leave bald spots. Drying time is great and it's very easy to clean.
I bought 10 polishes of this brand during my vacation in Portugal and will talk about each one of them.

Agora que peguei o jeito, não quero saber de outra coisa, por isso fiz um water marble usando o Brave mesmo, o Laced Up e o Traffic Jam, ambos da China Glaze. Infelizmente as fotos não ficaram como eu esperava, porque essa luz cinza de merda aqui da Bélgica estraga qualquer coisa.
Now that I got the hang of it, I don't want to do anything else, so I did a water marble using Brave itself, Laced Up and Traffic Jam, both by China Glaze. Unfortunately the pictures are not like I expected, because this shitty (sorry for that) gray light from Belgium ruins everything. 
 

Preciso achar os lampadários para as minhas lâmpadas, urgente. Os esmaltes são todos em tom rosa, mas mesmo mudando as configurações da câmera, ficaram vermelhos. Por isso tirei uma foto com o iPhone para vocês verem melhor as cores.
I have to find the table lamps for my bulbs, urgently. The polishes are all pink, but even changing the camera settings, they still turned red. So I took a picture with the iPhone so you can see the accurate colours.

Simplesmente amei essa mani.

[Pink October] #2: Heart Decals

Para a segunda mani do Outubro Rosa eu optei por uma técnica que adoro e que vocês já viram por aqui milhares de vezes: carimbada invertida (ou decalque de carimbo).
For the second mani of Pink for October I picked a technique I adore and you have already seen here many times: stamping decal (or reverse stamping or advanced stamping).

O esmalte escolhido para reinar nessa mani foi o Pink Punch (Barry M), um rosa choque glossy maravilhoso. Super fácil de esmaltar, cobre perfeitamente já na primeira camada. Infelizmente não consegui tirar nenhuma foto dele sozinho porque os dias aqui já começaram a encurtar e eu ainda não consegui achar os lampadários para terminar o meu mini estúdio. Mimimimimi
The polish I pick to reign on this mani is Pink Punch (Barry M), a wonderful glossy hot pink. Very easy to apply, it gets fully opaque already on the first coat. Unfortunately I didn't get to take any pictures of it plain because the days are getting shorter here and I still didn't find the lamps to put my bulbs in and finish the light box. Mimimimimi 

No anelar e no polegar foram duas camadas do Alpine Snow (OPI) e fiz os decalques com os corações da plaquinha PUEEN35. Preenchi o contorno dos corações com um glitter, mas acho que teria ficado melhor se tivesse usado um holo, porque acabou ficando falhado. Mas só pensei nisso depois que estava pronto...
On the thumb and pinky are two coats of Alpine Snow (OPI) and I made the decals with the hearts from the image plate PUEEN35. I filled the outlines of the hearts with a glitter, but I think it would've looked better with a holo, because there are some bald spots there. But I only thought of it when it was already done... 

Nas outras unhas coloquei apenas um bling para incrementar e cobri tudo com o extra brilho com óleo de argan da Ideal. Essa foi mais uma mani que amei demais.
Infelizmente a câmera não captou o tom dele de jeito nenhum. Ele é bem mais rosa e mais fechado ao vivo. Mas acho que o meu monitor também não está bem calibrado. Pode ser isso... Olhem aqui no post da Lucy.
On the other nails I only put a bling to add some awesomeness and topped everything with the Brazilian top coat Ideal. This is another mani I love a lot. Unfortunately the camera didn't capture its true colour. It's much more pink and still a little darker. It can also be that my screen is not well calibrated. I think... Have a look at Lucy's post. 

Até tentei dar uma modificada na foto para ver se conseguia a cor exata dele, mas nem assim. Se bem que, ele está muito mais próximo dessa cor da foto alterada do que nas fotos originais.
I even tried to process the picture a bit to see if I could get its accurate color, but no. Although, it's much closer to this colour on the processed picture than on the original ones.

[Pink October] #1: I ♥ Paris

Tudo bem por aí? Por aqui tudo ótimo. Acho que agora posso relaxar, né?
Como vocês já devem ter visto por aí, o mês de Outubro é o mês da Conscientização Sobre o Câncer de Mama e quem me acompanha desde o começo sabe que todo ano eu participo da campanha esmaltando as unhas de rosa uma vez por semana.
How are you doing? Everything is great here. Now I can relax, right?
As you may have seen around, October is the month for Breast Cancer Awareness and those who follow me here since the beginning know I participate every year wearing pink nails once a week.

Começo o mês com uma esmaltação que eu amei, homenageando uma das minhas cidades preferidas: Paris. No polegar e no dedo médio foram duas camadas do It's Raining Stars da Bourjois, que faz parte da edição limitada de esmaltes sand que eles lançaram. Consegui comprar os quatro da coleção e mostrarei um por um, separadamente, para vocês verem.
So let's start the month with a mani I love, honouring one of my favourite cities: Paris. On the thumb and middle fingers are two coats of It's Raining Stars by Bourjois, which is part of their limited edition of liquid sand. I got all four of them and I'll show you one by one afterwards.
 

No indicador e no mindinho fiz um dégradé com o Free Hugs (Essence) e o Rose Cupcake (Bourjois), cobri com o meu queridinho extra brilho da ideal e depois de bem sequinho coloquei as fitinhas para fazer chevron. Passei o Black Is Black (Essence) por cima e tirei as fitinhas logo em seguida.
On the index and pinky I made a gradient with Free Hugs (Essence) and Rose Cupcake (Bourjois), topped it with my favourite Brazilian top coat by Ideal and after it was very dry I place the chevron vinyls. I applied Black Is Black (Essence) and took the vinyls off right away.
 

No anelar foram duas camadas do Rose Cupcake, top coat fosco para ajudar no desenho e fiz a Tour Eiffel a mão livre usando tinta acrílica. Do ladinho dela coloquei dois blings só para dar um charme (porque não tinha brilho suficiente nessa mani sabem?!... kkkkkkk)
On the ring finger I applied tow coats of Rose Cupcake, topped it with matte top coat to help drawing and freehanded the Eiffel Tower using acrylic paint. I place two blings next to it just to decorate a bit more (because this mani wasn't sparkly enough you know?!... LMAO) 
 

Simplesmente amei essa mani. Espero que vocês tenham gostado também. Aproveito para dizer que (finalmente) saio em férias amanhã de madrugada e passarei a semana que vem em Portugal, por isso deixarei os posts programados e retribuirei as visitas e responderei os comentários quando voltar, ok?

31DC2014 Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Vocês acreditam que já estou chegando no final do desafio? Só mais 5 manis para acabar. Nem acredito que consegui chegar tão longe. Agora, tenho que dizer que essa rotina é muito louca. Não sei como estou conseguindo conciliar trabalho, academia e uma mani por dia, mas acho que esse esforço todo esta valendo à pena.
Can you believe I'm getting to the end of the challenge? Only 5 more manis to go. I can't believe I already got that far. Now, I have to say this routine is insane. I don't know how I'm being able to manage work, gym and a mani a day, but I think all this effort is paying off.

A mani de hoje é um estilo que estava na minha lista há muito e também aproveitei para desencalhar mais um bonitinho. Esse é o Free Hugs da Essence. Também só tinha usado uma vez e ficou esquecido na caixinha.
Today's mani is another style that was on my list for a long time and also an opportunity to get another polish from the box of forgotten ones. This is Free Hugs by Essence. I had only used it once and it got stuck in the box.

Foram duas camadas sobre base fosca, fácil de esmaltar e de limpar. Infelizmente apareceram algumas bolinhas porque agora que todo mundo voltou das férias, a temperatura subiu e temos tido dias lindos... hahahahaha
Two coats over matte base coat, easy to apply and to clean. Unfortunately I got a few bubbles because now that everybody is back from vacation, the temperature has increased and we've been having beautiful days... hahahahaha

Carimbei a imagem Pied de Poule (pé de galinha em francês) da placona DRK-A usando o esmalte preto para carimbo da Konad. Passei as minhas gotinhas de secagem rápida da Essence (que já estão acabando e eles não repõem na perfumaria... mimimi) e em seguida passei o extra brilho com óleo de argan da Ideal.
I stamped the houndstooth image from the big DRK-A plate using the black staping polish by Knoad. I put a few quick drying drops by Essence (which are almost finished and they don't restock at the cosmetics store... mimimim) and then I applied my favourute Brazilian top coat.

Gostei bastante do resultado, apesar da carimbada ter ficado um pouquinho falhada. Acho que está na hora de um novo esmalte preto para carimbo.
I really like the result, even if there are a few failed spots on the stamping. I think it's time for a new black stamping polish.
