[Valentine's Mani] #3: VDayNailsCollab on Instagram

A mani de hoje é uma que fiz para participar de uma colaboração de nail art que rolou lá no Instagram no sábado dia 14. A colaboração foi organizada pela Madhu do blog DenDiva e 36 artistas de unhas participaram da brincadeira.

How are you doing? I hope all is well. Today's mani is one I made for a Valentine's Day Nail Art collaboration that happened on Instagram last Saturday. The collab was organized  by Madhu from the blog DenDiva and 36 nail artists took part.

Como acabei ficando sem tempo de postar a mani aqui no dia 14, vai hoje mesmo. O tema da brincadeira era Dia dos Namorados e podia fazer qualquer mani, desde que tivesse a cor vermelha no meio.

Since I didn't have time to share it here on the 14th, it's for today. The theme was Valentine's Day, of course, and we could make whatever we wanted as long as there was red in it.

O vermelho escolhido foi o London da Mavala. Ele é super fácil de esmaltar é bastante pigmentado, o que faz com que a limpeza seja chatinha. Tem que cuidar senão mancha as cutículas.

The red I picked was London by Mavala. It's very easy to apply and it's highly pigmented, which makes cleaning a pain in the rear. We have to be careful not to stain the cuticles.

No final das contas ele acabou ficando só no indicador mesmo. No polegar e no anelar foram duas camadas do It's Raining Stars (Bourjois), sand prata mais perfeito que eu tenho. No mindinho e no médio foram duas camadas do Francesinha (Elle Gold). No médio coloquei três blings vermelhos.

In the end I only left it on the index finger. On the thumb and ring finger I applied two coats of It's Raining Stars (Bourjois), the most perfect silver liquid sand polish I own. On the pinky and the middle finger I applied two coats of Francesinha (Ellen Gold). On the middle finger I put three red rhinestones.

No indicador carimbei com o 01 White e no mindinho com o 09 Red, ambos da Mundo de Uñas, usando a plaquinha Festive Collection 19 da MoYou London.

On the index I stamped with 01 White and on the pinky with 09 Red, both by Mundo de Uñas, using the image plate Festive Collection 19 by MoYou London.

Simplesmente amei essa mani!

Review BP-05 and BP-08 - Born Pretty Stamping Plates

A mani de hoje combina duas resenhas em uma, mais duas plaquinhas da Born Pretty. Como recebi dois sets, tenho que mostrar todas né?!

Today's mani combines two reviews in one, two more Born Pretty stamping plates. Since I got two sets, I have to show you all of them right?!

Para a mani de hoje escolhi mais um esmalte super fofo que ganhei da Paula. Aliás, amiga, você me deu essa coleção toda? Acho que sim. Esse é o Florever da Blant, coleção Flores & Cores. Ele é um lilás com fundo azul acinzentado. Dependendo da luz ele parece mais azul do que lilás. Muito amor! Fácil de esmaltar e de secagem rápida. Apaixonei!

For today's mani I picked another cute polish I got from Paula. Actually, bestie, you sent me this entire collection, didn't you? I think so. This is Florever by Blant, collection Flowers & Colors. It's a lilac with a blue-greyish undertone. Depending on the light it looks more blue than lilac. So lovely! It's easy to apply and it dries quickly. I'm in love! 

No anelar e no indicador carimbei com o 24 Aqua da Mundo de Uñas e a plaquinha BP-08. Essa é mais uma plaquinha que eles mudaram e na nova não tem mais esses chevrons fofinhos. No médio usei o 23 Chocolate, também da MdU, e a plaquinha BP-05.
On the ring finger and the index I stamped using 24 Aqua by Mundo de Uñas and the stamping plate BP-08. This is another plate they changed and on the new one there's no cute chevrons anymore. On the middle finger I used 23 Chocolate, also by MdU, and the image plate BP-05.

No mindinho e no polegar coloquei um stud verdinho e pintei-os com o 24 Aqua para ficar da mesma cor da carimbada!
On the pinky and the thumb I put a light green stud and painted it with 24 Aqua to have it the same color as the stamping!

[Valentine's Mani] #2 : Blue Mix 'n Match with BP-11 by Born Pretty

Quem disse que mani de dia dos namorados tem que ser sempre Rosa ou vermelha? Não tem né?!

Por isso gosto de mudar as cores e dessa vez é a minha cor preferida.

Who says Valentine's manis need to be pink or red? Nobody right?!

That's why I like to change colors and this time it's my favorite color.

E aproveitei para resenhar mais uma plaquinha da Born Pretty. Sério, estou in love com essas plaquinhas deles! Quero todaaaaaaaas!

And I took the opportunity to review another Born Pretty stamping plate. I'm seriously in love with their plates. I want them all!

No médio e no indicador foram duas camadas do Swagger (piCture pOlish), carimbado usando a plaquinha BP-11 e o esmalte para carimbo branco da Mundo de Uñas.

No mindinho e no polegar foram duas camadas do White (Mavala) carimbado com o 42 Holland Blue também da Mundo de Uñas.
Não sei o que o Blogger está fazendo com as cores, mas ele está mudando todos os azuis e fazendo com que eles pareçam mais elétricos. Achei que fosse na configuração da câmera, mas dá para que não é porque as cores ficam fiéis no meu Flickr e na página do Facebook. Esse na verdade é um azul mais burple, como vocês podem ver na foto linkada no nome dele (tirada com o iPhone).

On the middle finger and index I applied two coats of Swagger (piCture pOlish), stamped using BP-11 and the white stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas.

On the pinky and thumb are two coats of White (Mavala) stamped using 42 Holland Blue, also by Mundo de Uñas.
I don't know what Blogger is doing with the colors, but it's changing all blues into electric blues. I thought it was a problem with the camera settings, but you can see it's not because the colors are accurate on my Flickr and on the Facebook page. This is actually a more burple tone, as you can see on the picture linked on its name (which I took with the iPhone).

UPDATE: A Val do blog Amo Nail Art me disse que a Penélope Luz fez um post sobre o blogger alterando as cores das fotos e como resolver o problema. Realmente, a diferença é enorme. Basta vocês irem no post da plaquinha BP-24 e vocês verao a cor exata do Bleu Majorelle da Yves Saint Laurent. Deixo aqui o link para o post da Penélope.
Val from the blog Amo Nail Art told me Penelope Luz made a blogpost about blogger changing colors of the pictures and how to fix the problem. It does make a big difference. You just have to go to the post where I review the image plate BP-24 and you'll see the accurate color of Blue Majorelle by Yves Saint Laurent. 

 

No anelar foram duas camadas bem generosas do Be My Lucky Star da Essence. Ele pertence à coleção Sparkle Sand e é um prata texturizado com glitter, coisa mais linda. Depois mostrarei-o sozinho. ;-)

On the ring finger I applied two generous coats of Be My Lucky Star by Essence. It's part of the Sparkle Sand collection and it's a silver textured with glitter, so pretty. I'll show it by itself later on. ;-)

Green Mix 'n Match

Já começaram a contagem regressiva para o Natal? Eu já! Depois de 7 anos, finalmente vou passar as festas com a minha família. :-D

Have you started the countdown for Christmas yet? I have. After 7 years, I'll finally spend the holidays with my family. :-D

Para comemorar essa alegria toda, hoje trago a vocês uma mix 'n match que fiz especialmente para o postão Esmaltadas de Leitoras do mês passado, lá pro blog da Alice.

To celebrate all this happiness, today I bring you a mix 'n match I did for last month's big Esmaltadas de Leitoras post, for Alice's blog.

Começo mostrando a vocês esse verdinho muito amor que comprei em Portugal em outubro. É o 389 Mint Milk. Apesar de ser tom pastel, ele é super fácil de esmaltar e já cobre bem na primeira camada.

I start by showing you this cute green I bought in Portugal in October.

It's 389 Mint Milk. It's very easy to apply, even though it's a pastel polish. It covers well already on the first coat.

No indicador passei duas camadas do Acquamarina Strass (Collistar) - achei que ele fosse glitter, mas é sand - que mostrarei sozinho para vocês depois. No polegar e no anelar uma camada do branco para carimbo da Blant e studs verdinhos.

On the index I applied two coats of Acquamarina Strass (Collistar) - I thought it was glitter, but it's actually textured - which I'll show you by itself later on. On the thumb and ring finger only one coat of white stamping polish and green studs.

No médio e mindinho carimbei com uma plaquinha da Born Pretty que também mostrarei depois. Essas foram as minhas primeiras fotos usando o mini estudio (exceto a foto do Kiko peladinho). Sei que ainda tenho muito para melhorar, mas o que vocês acham?
On the middle finger and pinky I stamped with an image plate by Born Pretty which I'll also show you later. These were also my first pictures using the light box (except the picture of the Kiko "naked"). I know there's always room for improvement, but what do you guys think?

[Movember] #3: Mix 'n Match for Nailstorming

Mais uma vez resolvi participar do Nailstorming de domingo - uma brincadeira organizada todos os domingos pela francesa Emma do blog Mademoiselle Emma - e esse domingo o tema é Novembro Azul.

Once again I decided to join the Sunday Nailstorming - a challenge organized every Sunday by the French blogger Emma from Mademoiselle Emma - and this Sunday's theme is Blue November.

Fiz a mix 'n match usando o The King da Missp, por isso tirei uma foto dele peladinho para vocês verem. Não sei o que está errado nas configurações da câmera, mas todos os azuis nesse tom tem ficado bem elétricos e os rosas choque tem ficado vermelhos. Não é Photoshopis não viu gente?! Foram duas camadas e esse brilho é todo dele mesmo.
I made a mix 'n match using The King by Missp, so I took a picture of it "naked" so you can see. I don't know what's wrong with the settings of my camera, but all those shades of blue are way brighter than real and the hot pinks are turning red. There's no Photoshop there, ok?! Here are two coats and this is its own natural shine.

Deixei-o no anelar e no polegar e fui brincar com a M&M. No médio foram duas camadas do Maliblue (Catrice), no mindinho e no indicador duas do Coconut (Barry M). No polegar fiz poás usando o menor boleador que tenho e o Coconut mesmo e no mindinho usando o The King. No indicador eu ia fazer listras, mas não ficaram legais, dai optei por simples studs azuis.
I kept it on the ring finger and on the thumb and went playing with the M&M. On the middle finger are two coats of Maliblue (Catrice), on the pinky and index two of Coconut (Barry M). On the thumb I made dots using the smallest dotting tool I own and Coconjt itself and on the pinky using The King. On the index I was going to make stripes, but they didn't look nice, so I just went with simple studs.

Para finalizar fiz um Monsieur no anelar, diferente do ano passado. Usei tinta acrílica preta e um pincel para detalhes. Porque não poderia faltar um bigodinho nesse mês né? 
To finish off I made a Monsieur on the ring finger, different than last year's. I used acrylic paint and a detail brush. Of course I couldn't let November go by without a mustache, right?

[Pink October] #6: Mix & Match

Good morning pretties!

Aqui estou com a última (finalmente) mani do Outubro Rosa. Adoro a cor rosa e esse mês consegui fazer 6 manis diferentes, mas confesso que deu pra bolinha né? 
Here I am with the last (finally) mani of Pink for October. I love pink and this month i was able to make 6 different manis, but I have to admit I'm kind of sick of it now! 

Aproveitei para desencalhar mais um 'esmaltchenho' fofo, o Candy da coleção Hello Kitty da Hits Specialittà. Foram duas camadas fáceis de aplicar. Achei a secagem bem boa e tem um brilho natural muito bonito.
I took another cute untried polish out of the box, Candy from the Hello Kitty collection by Hits Specialittà. Here I applied two easy coats. I think drying time is quite ok and it has a pretty natural shine.

Depois retirei-o do indicador e do médio para fazer a M&M. No indicador passei apenas uma camada do esmalte branco para carimbo da Blant - porque estava com preguiça, não queria gastar o restinho do meu Francesinha e como comprei um branco para carimbo novo, resolvi usá-lo como base para artes - e fiz poás com o Candy usando o boleador grande.
Then I took it off of the index and middle finger to make the mix 'n match. On the index I applied only one coat of a white stamping polish by Blant - because I was lazy, didn't want to spend the rest of my Francesinha and since I bought a new white stamping polish, I decided to use this one as base for arts - and made the polka dots using Candy and a big dotting tool.

No médio foram duas camadas do glitter forte Hard Rock também da Hits e desenhei o laço com o Candy. No anelar carimbei essa estampa super delicada da plaquinha Pro Collection XL 14 da MoYou London usando meu novo esmalte branco para carimbo da Mundo de Uñas.
On the middle finger I applied two coats of a rough glitter called Hard Rock also by Hits and freehanded the ribbon using Candy. On the ring finger I stamped this cute delicate pattern from Pro Collection XL 14 by MoYou London using my new white stamping polish by Mundo de Uñas.

Adorei essa mani. Acho que fechei a campanha super bem, vocês não acham?
