Green & Blue Streaky Watercolour

Tudo bem por aí? Como eu disse no post de sexta, esta semana estou passando minhas férias com o amorzão no sul de Portugal, na região do Algarve para ser mais específica, e não poderei visitar os blogs de vocês nem responder os comentários. Mas voltei à rotina de 3 posts por semana e deixei-os programados para essa semana.
How are you doing? As I said on Friday's post, this week I'm spending my vacation with my love in the south of Portugal, in the Algarve to be more specific, and I won't be able to visit your blog or reply to your comments. But I'm back to the 3 posts a wee routine and will leave them scheduled this week.

Trouxe a vocês uma técnica que ainda não tinha experimentado, e fotos velhas da época do iPhone ainda, e que gostei bastante, apesar de ainda não ter ficado como eu gostaria. A técnica chama-se Streaky Watercolour (aquarela riscada) e foi inventada pela Sammy do The Nailasaurus.
I bring you a technique I hadn't tried yet, and some old pics from when I took them with the iPhone, and  I like it a lot, even though it's not quite as I wanted. The technique is called Streaky Watercolour and was created by Sammy from The Nailasaurus.

É super fácil de fazer, basta diluir o esmalte no removedor (em uma tampinha ou tábua de plástico, por favor) e dar pinceladas bem de leve com um pincel quadrado, quase como se não encostasse o pincel na unha. Usei esse tutorial que ela fez.
It's very easy to do, you just have to thin the polish out with polish remover or acetone and apply it on your nails using a square brush, with very little pressure on the brush, almost as you didn't touch the nail. I used this tutorial she made.

A cor de base é o Alpine Snow (OPI) e as cores usadas foram o Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen), AmazOn... Amazoff (OPI) e 343 Spring Green (Kiko). Adorei a mani e com certeza tentarei essa técnica de novo.
Base colour is Alpine Snow (OPI) and the colours used for the art are Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen), AmazOn... Amazoff (OPI) and 343 Spring Green (Kiko). I love this many and will definitely try this technique again.

31DC2014 Day 22: Inspired by a Song

Como vocês estão? Espero que muito bem.
A mani de hoje é muito menos elaborada do que a que fiz para o desafio passado, mas não menos fofa. Confesso que poderia ter feito melhor, mas fiz com pressa para poder sair, ai acabou ficando meia boca... rsrsrsrsrsr

Today's mani is much less elaborated than the one I made for the last challenge, but not less cute. I have to admit I could've done better, but I did it in a hurry because I had to go out, so it's meeh... rsrsrsrrsrsr

Dessa vez aproveitei para fazer uma mani que já estava na lista de espera e me inspirei em uma música brasileira que eu adoro: All Star do Nando Reis.
This time I did a mani that was on my waiting list and got inspired by a Brazilian song I love: All Star (Converse Shoes) by Nando Reis.

Como cor de base escolhi o It's All I Can Blue da Catrice que só usei uma vez, nesse post aqui, e ainda não tinha tirado nenhuma foto dele sozinho. Super hiper fácil de esmaltar. Cobre bem já na primeira camada, mas sempre passo duas né?
As base colour I picked It's All I Can Blue by Catrice which I only used once, for this post here, and still didn't have any picture of it plain. Very easy to apply. It covers well already on the first coat, but I always apply two.

Depois segui esse tutorial aqui para fazer o meu All Star, usando esmalte branco, prata e preto. Para fazer a francesinha usei o próprio pincel do esmalte, mas achei que ficou muito grande pois tenho mantido as unhas mais curtinhas.
Then I follow this tutorial here to make my Converse, using white, silver and black polishes. To make the French tip I used the brush from the polish itself, but I think it's too large because I'm keeping my nails shorter.

Fiz as bolinhas com o menor boleador que tenho e o cadarço usando um pincel pra detalhes. Definitivamente, uma das manis mais fáceis e mais rápidas que já fiz. Com certeza, terei que fazer uma melhor depois que o desafio acabar.
I made the dots with the smallest dotting tool I have and the shoe lace using a detail brush. Definitively, one of the easiest and quickest manis I've ever made. I'll have to make a better one after the challenge is over, for sure.

Gostaria de me desculpar pela ausência nos blogs de vocês, mas está sendo impossível acompanhar tudo tendo que fazer um post por dia. Assim que o desafio terminar eu comento em todos os blogs participantes. Enquanto isso, vou tentando acompanhar todos os outros.
I'd like to apologize for not visiting you lately, but it's impossible to follow everything while making a blog post a day. I'll go comment on all the participant's blogs as long as the challenge is over. In the mean time, I try to follow the others.

Para as unhas meia-lua, aproveitei o tema da Esmaltadas de Leitoras para esse mês e uni o útil ao agradável. A Alice pediu para fazer uma homa mani, eu perguntei à ela se podia ter arte e ela disse que sim, daí surgiu a idéia para essa mani.
For half moons mani I used this month's theme for Esmaltadas de Leitoras (reader's manis), a monthly post put together by one of my Brazilian fellow bloggers where everyone can participate. She asked us to create a homa mani. I don't know if there's a name for that art in English, but it consists in picking two different colors and painting two fingers with one colour (ring finger and pinky) and other two with the other colour (middle and index). The thumb can be any of the two colours, as you wish. The colours must be inverted on the other hand. I asked her if I could do some art with it and she said yes and that's how I got this idea.

No polegar, anelar e mindinho passei duas camadas do Blue No Blues da Bourjois e no indicador e médio duas do Laced Up da China Glaze. Passei top coat em todos para proteger.
On the thumb, ring finger and pinky I applied two coats of Blue No Blues by Bourjois and on the index and middle finger two of Laced Up by China Glaze. I top coat everything to protect it. 

Depois de bem sequinho, unha por unha, fui colocando aqueles adesivinhos de proteção para folhas de fichário (aqueles redondinhos, para não rasgar o furo na folha, sabem?), passando o esmalte por cima e retirando logo em seguida.
After it was all dry, nail by nail, I placed those round protection stickers for binder paper sheets (those to protect to hole from being ripped apart, you know?), applied the other polish on top and pulled it up.

No Laced Up eu passei duas camadas do Blue No Blues e vice-versa. Na outra mão eu inverti a ordem das cores, como manda o figurino. Depois foi só passar mais uma camada de top coat e voilà. Super fácil. :-D
On top of Laced Up I applied two coats of Blue No Blues and vice-versa. On the other hand I inverted the order of the colours, as it's supposed to be. Then a last coat of top coat and voilà. Quite easy. :-D

A mani de hoje é mais uma que tenho orgulho em dizer que melhorou. Sei que ainda preciso treinar muito os gradientes/dégradés e que está longe daquela transição homogênea, mas estou muito feliz com o resultado.
Today's mani is another one I'm proud to say it improved. I know I still have to practice gradients a lot and it's far from a smooth transition, but I'm quite happy with the result.

Como base usei o Adora-Bleu (Bourjois) e esponjei com o Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen) e o Eurso Euro (OPI). Não sei porque ainda não consigo a transição homogênea... talvez tenha que mudar a técnica.
I used Adora-Bleu (Bourjois) as a base and sponged with Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen) and Eurso Euro (OPI). I don't know why I can't get a smooth transition yet... maybe I need to change my technique. 

Visto que a transição não ficou homogênea como queria, dei uma escondida com o Fairy Dust (China Glaze). Oh glitterzinho mais que perfeito viu? Ele deixa qualquer mani delicada e com um brilho que eu amo de paixão.
Since the transition is not as smooth as I wanted, I hid it with Fairy Dust (China Glaze). What a perfect glitter! It's makes any mani delicate and sparkling, just the way I like it.

Para fazer o gradiente eu passo o esmalte direto na esponja, dou umas batidinhas de leve no papel para tirar o excesso e em seguida aplico na unha, mas mesmo assim ainda não está legal. Já ouvi dizer que molhar a esponja facilita. Vocês tem outras dicas?
To make the gradient I apply the polish directly on the sponge, then I dab it on a piece of paper to get the excess off and then apply on the nails, but even though it's not good yet. I heard that wetting the sponge helps. Do you have any other tips?

Apesar de não ainda não ter ficado como eu queria, ficou muito melhor do que a do desafio passado. O que vocês acham?
Even if it's not how I wanted it to be, it's much better than last challenge's one. What do you think?

Já cansaram de mim? Espero que não, pois estou apenas começando... Hehehheeheheh
Para a mani de hoje eu recriei essa mani aqui da minha convidada V.I.P.A. do sábado passado, mas nem de longe a minha mani ficou tão delicada quanto à dela.
Are you tired of me already? I hope not, because I'm only in the beginning... LOL
For today's mani I recreated this mani here by my V.I.P.A. guest from last Saturday, but mine is not as delicate as hers.

Comecei com a base fosca e depois de bem sequinha coloquei aqueles adesivos redondinhos para fazer a meia-lua e passei o Swagger da piCture pOlish que já apareceu aqui.
I started with a matte base coat and when I was completely dry I applied those round stickers to create a half moon and painted over with Swagger by piCture pOlish that was already here on the blog. 

Depois desenhei essas gotinhas no espaço da meia lua com esmalte branco e fiz as bolinhas com boleador médio. Acho que se eu tivesse desenhado as gotinhas/pétalas com tinta acrílica teria ficado mais delicado.
The I drew these kind of drops on the half moon space using white polish and made the dots with a medium dotting tool. I think it would've turned more delicate if I have used acrylic paint to draw the drops/petals.

Mas só pensei nisso depois que já tinha começado com o esmalte e como fiz as unhas ontem à noite, já não tinha mais tempo para consertar... rsrsrsrsrs
But I only thought of that after I had already started with the polish and since I did my nails yesterday evening, I didn't have time to fix it anymore... LOL 

No final das contas, gostei do resultado, apesar de não ter ficado tão delicado quanto eu queria. E vocês, o que acharam?
At the end, I like the result, even if it's not as delicate as I wanted it to be. What about you? What do you think?

Pacific Blue - Sally Hansen + Konad

Então, como eu falei na quarta, hoje venho mostrar o up que eu dei no divino Pacific Blue da Sally Hansen.
Ele é tão perfeito, mas tão perfeito, mas tão perfeito que fiquei com medo que qualquer arte sequer fosse esconder a beleza dele.

So, as I said on Wednesday, today I come show you what I did with the gorgeous Pacific Blue by Sally Hansen.
It's so perfect, but so perfect, but so perfect that I was afraid any art would hide its beauty.

Por isso optei por algo bem simples, só para dar uma incrementada mesmo, mas deixando toda a beleza dele à vista, porque ele merece divar sozinhoooooo! :-P
Para tal, usei o esmalte para carimbo 24 Aqua da Mundo de Uñas e a plaquinha M79 da Konad.
So I chose to do something simple, just to give it a pop, because it deserves to have the spotlight all for itself.
For that, I used the stamping polish 24 Aqua by Mundo de Uñas and the image plate M79 by Konad.

Já mostrei algumas carimbadas com os esmaltes da MDU e instiguei o desejo de muitas de vocês, eu sei. Mas infelizmente parece que teve um problema com a distribuidora e ela não está mais fazendo entregas internacionais. Ao menos não por enquanto. :-(
I have already showed a few arts using those MDU polishes and I know I made a few of you want it as well.
But unfortunately it seems the distributor had a problem and she's not shipping international anymore. At least not for now. :-(

Me arrependi de ter comprado só 10 minis. Deveria ter me jogado em uns 30.... kkkkk
Espero que ela reabra para vendas internacionais, pois os esmaltes são maravilhosos!

Pacific Blue - Sally Hansen (original formula)

Todo mundo ficou super alvoroçado com o tal do Frio na Barriga da Giovanna Antonelli by Hits né? E acabou dando nos nervos da maioria das blogueiras que já eram apaixonadas pela cor e muitas até começaram a perder o gosto pelos azuis elétricos né?

Everybody in Brazil was crazy about the Frio na Barriga from Giovanna Antonelli's collection by Hits. And many bloggers there got kind of sick of eletric blue polishes.

Bom, não foi o meu caso. Apesar de não ter tido a oportunidade de testar o FNB, não deixarei de amar azuis nunca e por isso vim encher o saco de vocês com mais um. Essa perfeição em forma de esmalte é o Pacific Blue da Sally Hansen. A fórmula dele é uma delíciaaaaa! Melhor coisa do mundo para esmaltar. Ele cobre perfeitamente em uma camada (mas eu passo duas de mania mesmo), não escorre, não mancha, enfim, é perfeito mesmo!
Well, that wasn't the case for me. Even if I didn't have the opportunity to test FNB, I'll never stop loving blue and that's why I came bother you with another one. This perfection in a bottle is Pacific Blue by Sally Hansen. It's formula is fantastic! The best ever. It's very smooth to apply and it gets fully opaque with one coat (I always apply two), it doesn't run, it doesn't stain, well, it's really perfect!

Não sei se vocês ficaram sabendo, mas a marca mudou a fórmula do PB e é lógico que eu tinha que desejá-lo logo quando sai do mercado né? Kkkk... Daí dei a sorte de arrematar dois (isso mesmo, dois) em um leilão do eBay. Confesso que nem me importei com o preço não, pois eu queria muitooooooo!
I don't know if you heard (I'm sure most of you out the have), but SH changed its formula and of course, I had to want it exactly when they went out of stock right? Lol... But I was extremely lucky and won two (yes, two) in an auction on eBay. I have to admit I didn't even mind the price, because I really wanted it!

Lendo esse post aqui da Jen (The PolishAholic) vi que a nova versão é jelly com shimmer. Ela passou três camadas e ainda dá para ver a linha da unha. Ainda bem que consegui garantir os meus, pois não gostei nadinha de nada da versão nova!
Reading this post here by Jen (The PolishAholic) I saw the new version is a jelly with shimmer. She applied three coats and you can still see the nail line. Fortunately I got mine, because I didn't like the new version, not at all!

Navy Love for Nailstorming

Tudo bem com vocês? Por aqui tudo ótimo.
Hoje trago a vocês mais um estilo de mani que eu amo: Navy Nails. A última vez que fiz uma mani náutica foi para o 'Todas Usam' do Troca-Troca de Esmaltes há quase 1 ano e achei que já estava na hora de fazer outra né? Heheheheheh
Aproveitei essa mani para participar pela primeira vez do Nailstorming. É um desafio  organizado pela francesa Emma, para conectar as amantes de nail art. Basta criar uma mani no tema escolhido e postar nos domingos usando a hashtag #nailstorming.

Today I bring you another kind of mani I love: Navy Nails. Last time I made navy nails was for the post 'We All Use It' from Troca-Troca de Esmaltes (a Brazilian NPA group on Facebook) almost a year ago and I thought it was time to make another one, right? Hehehehehe
I also took the opportunity to participate for the first time of the Nailstorming. It's a challenge organized by the French artist Emma, to connect us all NPAs. You just have to create a mani with the prompt chosen and share it on Sundays using the hashtag #nailstorming.

Para começar esmaltei o indicador, o médio e o mindinho com duas camadas do Alpine Snow (OPI) sobre base fosca (como sempre). Passei top coat para acelerar a secagem e passei o Amazing California Love (OPI) por cima. 
I started applying two coats Alpine Snow (OPI) over a matte base coat on the index, middle finger and pinky. I top coated them to speed up drying time and applied Amazing California Love (OPI) on top. 

Dessa vez usei as fitinhas da cartela #005 que comprei na Pshiiit Boutique. Essas fitinhas são muito melhores do que as stripping tape porque elas têm mais cola e fixam melhor. Mas a esmaltação tem que estar bem seca para não arrancar o esmalte de base na hora de tirar a fitinha. 
This time I used the stickers from the sheet #005 I bought at the Pshiiit Boutique. These stickers are much better than the stripping tapes because they have more glue and they stick better. But the base coat has to be completely dry otherwise it gets pulled off when removing the stickers.

No anelar foram duas camadas do Glistening Snow (China Glaze), meu glitter forte preferido. No polegar esmaltei com o Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen) - que mostrarei a vocês na semana que vem - e fiz poás com o branco usando um boleador grande. No mindinho fiz poás pequenos com o Pacific Blue mesmo.
On the ring finger I applied two coats of Glistening Snow (China Glaze), my favourite accent glitter. On the thumb I used Pacific Blue (Sally Hansen) - that I'll show you next week - and made polka dots using white and a big dotting tool. On the pinky I made smaller dots using Pacific Blue.

Por último, fiz a âncora com o Pacific Blue usando um pincel médio. Gente, esse PB é uma coisa de louco. Vocês verão na semana que vem! Simplesmente amei essa mani e até recebi elogios de um colega de trabalho. Uhuuuuuul!
At last, I freehanded the anchor using Pacific Blue and a medium brush. Guys, PB is really awesome. You'll see next week! I simply love this mani and even got a compliment from a (male) colleague at work. Uhuuuuuul

Once In a Blue Mousse - Lime Crime + Born Pretty

Hoje tem mais uma resenha da Born Pretty na área e algumas novidades também. Vocês notaram que mudei a forma de comentários e o layout do blog quando fiz o postão dos acamentos né? Pois então, essa bonequinha mascote super fofa e o logo foram feitos pela super querida e talentosa Renata Pereira Bezerra que conheci através da Cris Xavier lá do Troca. Super recomendo o trabalho dela!

Today I have another Born Pretty review and some news well. You must have noticed that I changed the comments threads and the blog’s layout when I wrote the big post about the nail polish finishes, right? Well, this super cute mascote doll and the logo were created by a Brazilian artist, and a friend helped me with the layout!

Para completar a minha felicidade, há tempos que queria mehorar a qualidade das minhas fotos e grande foi a minha surpresa esse sábado quando voltei da academia e o maridão estava mexendo em uma das Canons dele. Qual foi a surpresa? Ele comprou uma lente macro para a Canon EOS 30D e me ensinou a usar. \o/ Ainda estou pegando o jeito, mas aqui estão as minhas primeiras fotos.
To make me even happier, it’s been a while that I want to improve the quality of my pictures and I was very surprised last saturday when I came back from the gym and saw hubby playing with one of his Canon cameras. What was the surprise? He bought a macro lens for the Canon EOS 30D and taught me how to use it. \o/ I’m still getting the hang of it, but here are my first pictures.

Nessa mani usei duas camadas (sobre base fosca) do Once In a Blue Mousse da Lime Crime. Esses esmaltes da LC são os melhores de cor pastel que já usei. Bem consistentes, não escorrem, não mancham e não ficam com marcas de pincel.
On this mani I applied two coats (over a matte base coat) of Once In a Blue Mousse by Lime Crime: These pastel polishes by LC are the best I’ve ever wore. The formula is quite consistent, it doesn’t run, it doesn’t stain and it doesn’t get brush marks.
 

No dedo médio e no anelar coloquei os decalques DLS-193 que vocês podem encontrar nesse link aqui. Como sempre, são super fáceis de aplicar e ficam lindos de morrer! Nas outras unhas apenas coloquei um bling oval para enfeitar um pouquinho.
On the middle and the ring finger I applied these decals DLS-193 you can find on this link here. As usual, they are super easy to apply and they are extremely cute! On the other nails I just applied an oval bling to decorate a bit.
